The letter writer is certainly entitled to his opinion but he is not entitled to his own facts. It seems to me that he has blurred the lines between both.
There are hate-speech laws in place that protect Jews. If you say something against a Jew or deface a synagogue, it is hate speech and a hate crime. It is the only religion that is protected by a nation that is supposed to separate church and state. Of course, there are people that will call me anti-Semitic, even though that is the truth, and truth isn’t hate speech.
